In Germany, between 10% and 20% of the population suffer from lactose (milk sugar) intolerance. The cause of this intolerance to milk products is a lack of the lactase enzyme in the body or the loss of its activity. An insufficient quantity or activity of lactase means that lactose in the diet is not metabolised. After meals that contain lactose, bacteria in the large bowel ferment the undigested milk sugar to produce gases that cause the problems. As lactose intolerance may give rise to symptoms of variable intensity, it is recommended that you seek advice about the significance of lactose in your diet.
ADDITIVA® Lactase 6000 is a nutritional supplement that has been developed especially for people who suffer from lactose (milk sugar) intolerance. Taking ADDITIVA® Lactase 6000 with meals including lactose-containing food improves the digestion of any absorbed lactose by the lactase enzyme. One tablet contains 6000 FCC* units (65 mg) of lactase.
Recommended use:
Take 1 tablet with every lactose-containing meal. Do not exceed the recommended dose. Taking too many tablets may have a laxative effect.
